Under the general direction and supervision of the Research Associate III of the Yale Center for Genome Analysis (YCGA), lead a team of staff and carry out non-routine library prep and sequence production using the sequencersOversee and train new C&T Staff; write SOPs on protocolsManage documentation, including the tracking and reporting of turnaround time, reagents, invoicing, and data QCAttend project planning and operational meetings with other groups.Directly assist the Facility Director and or Research Associate III in preparing reportsGathering scientific information, perform analysis, generate data, graphs, and PowerPointsCarry out supervision of the staff and function, as and when neededRepresent Faculty/Research Associate III, as needed, with the Administrative Supervisor of the facility on all administrative issues including but not limited to staffing, temporary/casual usage, resolution of workflow and staff issues, performance management, scheduling, work rules, University policy and bargaining unit interpretation, etcCarry out laboratory workflows including library and flow cell prep production, maintain equipment, and perform other duties as requiredTroubleshoot and resolve library prep and laboratory instrument related issues with technical supportInterpret and generate reports summarizing experimental resultsCommunicate with investigators and collaboratorsProvide technical assistance to the usersInteract with various YCGA operation teamsProvide orientation and training to new lab personnel including instruction in laboratory protocols and providing information and practical assistance as requiredMaintain and update information on the YCGA websiteAssist in the development of the future laboratory information management system (LIMS)Perform literature searches to determine current trends in sequencing operation and remain pro-active in adapting appropriate protocolsAssist with gathering information for grants and proposals and provide support with editing.Preferred Education, Experience and Skills:

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
