Order Entry/Customer Inventory Control Clerk

Our client has an immediate opening for a Data Entry/Inventory Control Clerk with experience in the manufacturing and/or logistics industry. This is a great temp to possible hire opportunity for the right candidate.
Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:
-Perform a variety of skilled mathematical and alphanumeric data entry within multiple computer databases and paper forms.
-Trace and track customer's freight.
-Provide proof of delivery.
-Responsible for processing pick-up requests and entering data in the system.
-Respond to and handle all daily customer service requests.
-Data entry of shipment information, inventory and purchase orders.
-Prepare rates and invoices.
Hours are 8am-5pm Monday-Friday but subject to change and overtime (including occasional weekends). Flexibility with hours is needed.
Working hours: 8:00am-5:00pm M-F plus OT and occasional weekends
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-3-5 years of data entry or inventory control experience within the manufacturing and/or logistics industry required.
-Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access; internet, web-based and job specific software applications.
-Accurate typing and/or data entry skills.
-Read and interpret documents, and write routine correspondence.
-Gather and analyze complex information skillfully.
-Ability to work under high stress and tight time lines.
